Head Instructor/Director of Teams

Matt is our longest tenured instructor. Going on his 13th year here with us, he continues to work with players of all age and skill levels.

The driving force behind the AllStars Academy teams, Matt is going into his fourth year as head coach of AllStars Elite and director of all teams. AllStars Academy travel teams are one of the top programs in not only the northeast but the entire country. 3 out of the six teams are nationally ranked including two in the top twenty five. After the 2020 season AllStars was recognized as having the 17th best (out of over 15,000) winning percentage in the country for perfect game tournaments over the summer.

Before AllStars Matt started his playing career as a two-time NYSSA All-State player from Shenendehowa High School. He went on to place 4th in the nation in batting averages with .489 and was recognized as All-American at Schenectady Community College. He was an NE-10 All-Conference player at the College of Saint Rose. Matt started his coaching career at the College of Saint Rose as their hitting coach for 2 years. He then coached for 3 years with the Saratoga Stampede American Legion team before becoming Manager of the Clifton Park 13u Babe Ruth Word series host team. In 2011 they were the national runners-up in the World series. Matt also spent 4 years as assistant varsity coach at Ballston Spa High School. During those summers he was hitting coach for the Cortland Crush of the NYCBL and also for the Albany Dutchmen of the PGCBL.
